SIFT 4 CUPS FLOUR INTO A LARGE PAN
PAT OUT A WELL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOUR
POUR INTO WELL: 
2 CUPS SUGAR 
2 EGGS
1 CUP BUTTERMILK 
1 CUP SHORTENING
1 TEASPOON SALT 
1 TEASPOON SODA 
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT
(OR FAVORITE FLAVOR)

Directions
KNEED DOUGH BY HAND----
FLOUR TO ROLL
ROLL OUT THE DOUGH,
THEN CUT OUT COOKIES
BAKE UNTIL DONE
MAKES APPOXIMATELY
2 DOZEN COOKIES
