| CREAMED PEAS 2 cups frozen green peas 2/3 cup water 1 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. butter 1/3 cup heavy cream, half and half or milk 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tbsp. sugar 1. In a saucepan, bring peas, water, 1 tsp. sugar and salt to a boil. Stir in butter. 2. Whisk together cream, flour and sugar in a small bowl until smooth and blended. Stir into peas. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thick and bubbly. Yield: 4 servings |
