This recipe calls for putting this in the oven at 250 for 6-7 hours. I put it in the crockpot on low for about 6 hours, then turned it to high for 2 hours. 3 lbs.lean stew meat (I used round steak) 3 large carrots, peeled and sliced 8 oz mushrooms, sliced 1 yellow onion, diced 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced 28 oz. can tomatoes, crushed with juice 10 1/2 oz. can beef broth 1/4 cup white wine (you can use water) 4 Tbsp. tapioca 1 Tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 bay leaf salt and pepper to taste Mix, cover and put in oven at 250 degrees for 6-7 hours. |
