Yesterday my mom took me out for ar 2nd ride this year. She lunged me first with tack & side reins. I didn wanna ride, I whinnied to my horsemom Jessie and acted silly. Mom kept walkin' and trottin' me in circles until I settled down and started to give to the bit. Then we loped awittle bit, mom was gettin' frustrated cause I was lopin' too slow! I thought that was supposed to be a good thing! She said I was almost bouncin' on the spot and the more she squeezed her legs, the more I bounced! Then we did some funner stuf. We trotted over som logs and then practiced a walk jog pattern. Then we tried the sidepass over L-shaped logs. Mom was so happy with me! She said I musta been thinkin' 'bout it all winter and momma Jessie musta given me som tips! I do best when mom just leaves me alone and lets me do it myself - sometimes she interferes and then I mess up. I hope she's not gonna ride me again for awhile. I still awful tired...
