Ruffey Lake Park, Australia
On
this year,
the autumn and winter we experienced was mild and some of the plants
had not entirely shed their leaves even in the depths of winter. On a
walk through the park I chanced upon these two leaves on an otherwise
bare tree.
I
enjoyed how
the single pair of leaves contrasted with the starkness of the rest of
the tree, and how they seemed to float above background of green
clover. To emphasize the presence of the leaves and turn the clover
patch into a dreamy blur, I zoomed in as much as possible and shot from
the minimum focusing distance of my lens, using a wide aperture setting.
