On the street where we live, there's a house that is always lavishly decorated around Christmas time. This year it even featured a Christmas tree that was made entirely out of strings of lights.
I squatted low, looked upwards, zoomed in and photographed from underneath the exhibit. The longer focal length and moderately large aperture limited the depth of field. Defocusing turned the lights into attractive globes of color against a pitch-dark sky.
