Bride's Train

Bride's Train

Canon EOS 1Ds + Canon 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
1/100s, f/4.5, ISO 800

Location: Nativity Church, Singapore

After going to the books it became obvious to me that I should never get in the way of the paid wedding photographer. Because I didn't want to make his job any harder I had to be acutely aware of his position and move myself elsewhere if he drew near.

At this moment I was glad to have a fisheye lens on loan. I positioned myself behind the couple where the other photographer could not see me. A low viewpoint combined with the close subject distance and the fisheye effect accentuated the bride's long gown.

As an added bonus, the wide angle of view of the fisheye lens also enabled me to take in the pattern of the floor and the details of the pillar and the roof.
