Location: Changi Village, Singapore
A boatman reverses his boat and docks it at the pier at Changi Village. The man on the right is one of several boatmen who ferries people to Pulau Ubin and back, using a small boat carrying up to 12 passengers at a time. The cost of the ride is just $2 and takes between 10-15 minutes.
In preparation for this photo I pre-focused my lens and dialed in positive exposure compensation to combat the issue of backlighting. There was time to only take two photographs before I lost the composition.
