As the bride and groom arrived in their car, the best boy and girl took
on their roles as ushers...
For this photo I positioned myself carefully some distance away from
the action, as I didn't want to interfere with the ceremony, and
neither did I want to obstruct the view of other important relatives
and visitors. However I needed to find a spot that ensured a better
composition.
It was important to take care that the face of the best girl did not
overlap or join with the car's left mirror, that the faces of the
children did not overlap each other, and that the white bows on the
car's handle could be easily seen. I also wanted to be in a position
where I could see the interaction between the best boy and the bride.
At the moment when the bride leaned closer to the window to speak to
the boy, the photo was made.
The result is a subtle picture that shows the face of the bride behind
the car window. Her smile and eye contact with the boy tells of the
conversation that was taking place at that time.
