They place me.
Look through,
But never see.

I have my own cleaner.
I let in the light.
Keep out the rain,
Reflect the night.

We frame moving paintings.
Keep you on another side of life.
Even birds forget we are there.
A present of the blind man's wife.

When I'm broken,
You replace the pane.
When I am holy,
You place me with stain.

Skylight or basement.
Made from sand,
With an encasement.

Give drapes,
Give me curtains.
It won't change my view.
That's for certain.

For your house,
I'm the eyes.
For your soul,
See the lies and skies.

You watch,
You ogle,
You stare.
Step from behind me,
Do you dare?

Board me up,
Or keep me clean.
I have no desire,
Even to be seen.

My only purpose,
Is for you.
Place me right,
Enjoy the view.
