| The spare tire wheel was lined with duct tape and a garbage bag. A 3/4" piece of MDF was used as the bottom piece. | Fibreglass walls were attached to the MDF piece. | ||
| The MDF and fibreglass removed from the car. | Another piece of MDF was attached to the existing enclosure with more fibreglass. | ||
| Another couple pieces and the bottom half of the enclosure was done. That's right it's a two piece box assembled in the car. | The top half of the enclosure well under way. | ||
| The top half, mostly finished, being test fitted to the bottom half. | Another view of the box. Keep in mind the subs fire towards the rear of the car. | ||
| A shot of the wiring termination on the subs. | It was a tight fit for the huge magnet assembly, so the enclosure was fibreglassed around the subs. | ||
| Factory back deck carpet... | ...cut into pieces. | ||
| Some MDF and fibreglass and a new back deck starts to take shape. | Finished with carpet and a grille. Looks alot higher than factory - it is. But still lower than the spoiler, allowing a clear line of sight out of the rear window. | ||
| Here's what the grille looks like. | The start of the trim piece for the trunk. As per usual it's done with MDF and fibreglass. | ||
| The subs are visible in the rear of the car. No more wondering what's behind the back seat. | All finished sanding...just needs some plexi and carpet. | ||
| Done! With the grille off and the neon lights on, you can see half the subs in the rear window and the other half through the plexi. Very cool. | |
