Zits
Zits are a common problem for all teenagers. Those who don't get many in their teens, end up with quite a few when they get older. However, there are the lucky few (or hey maybe they just work harder on their skin than the rest of us) who don't get any... EVER! But, for those of us who DO get them, they can really be a pain in the butt!
Yes, it is true that what you eat and how you treat your skin CAN have an effect on the amount of zits you get.  However, during teen years your body goes through a lot of changes.  Your hormones start to change, and so does your whole body.  Zits are just a normal part of life, even though they really do SUCK!
Even though zits are normal, and everyone gets them, there are ways to cut back the amount of zits you get.

1 - Try to eat healthy: greasy foods tend to increase your chances of developing zits. Im not saying become a health freak, BUT eating healthy never hurts!
2 - Keep clean: cleaning your skin (especially your face) regularly can dramatically decrease the amount of zits you get. Facial cleansers are a good idea, just make sure you don't get one that's too strong for your skin. If it is too strong, you'll notice that it tingles, or burns.  Whipe your face off with a wet cloth, and look into buying a different cleanser.
3 - Don't scrub: using scrubs on your face, even if you're just scrubbing with a washcloth can cause acne! Try finding something that you can lather onto your face that will clean well.
4 - Natural Remedies - be careful when using natural remedies (such as fruit peals, or home made oatmeal masks).  Through personal experience i find that if you're going to use it, make sure it's a type of food that you have eaten before without an allergic reaction.  If you have an allergic reaction to it your skin will most likely turn red and blotchy.  If this occurs, there is little need to see a doctor unless the symptoms get worse.  Just wash your face off with water and wait it out. It shouldn't last too long!
