Who Are You?
A lot of teens, girls especially, have trouble figuring out who they are, how they fit, and most of all, what they want to do. Personally, I've pondered those same questions time and time again. There is no simple answer. There is nothing I can write here that will satisfy the thirst you have for knowledge of yourself. However, I can help you in small ways to figure out your true self, and what you would really like to pursue in the future.
First things first! You need to get to know yourself. So follow these simple steps and learn more about who you really are inside. (I promise it really won't take all that long)
Answer these questions as best as you can. You can come back to them at any time during this exersize so don't worry about writing a lot right now!

1 - What does it mean to you to have self-esteem?

2 - How much self esteem do you think you have? (scale of 1-10)

3 - What do you think made you create so much, or lose so much, self esteem?

4 - In which areas of your life would you like to have more self-esteem?

5 - Remember a time when you were confident that you were doing something right. How did it feel to be so confident?

6 - Remember a time when you were not confident in what you were doing. How did you feel? Were you scared? Did you palms sweat? Did you give up?

Now, let's discover your interests!  This section is to help you find out what it is that you want to do in life.

7 - What do you like to do most in your spare time? (you may list more than one thing)

8 - Choose 3 things that you like to do most. List reasons why you like doing these things.

9 - What subjects do you enjoy in school? (if you find you don't enjoy any, what relevant subjects do you think your school should teach?)

Next, let's take a look at the kind of person you are, and what you would like to improve about yourself! (how you looks has nothing to do with these questions, think about who you are as a person)

10 - What do you think your 5 best qualities are?

11 - What 5 qualities do you look for in a friend?
(you may find that your answers are close to the same for 10 and 11, that's perfectly fine, keep going)

12 - Who do you admire, and why? (choose 1-3 people, it can be anyone, from a parent, to a movie star, to a character in a book)

13 - Why do you admire them so much?

14 - What would you like to improve about your social abilities?

15 - What would you like to improve about you school/job related abilities?

That's all for this section.  Re-read your answers and think about what you wrote. You may discover things that you hadn't really noticed before. Take every answer you gave into consideration. Think, for a while, about what you have written. What does it say about who you are as a person?  Take a break to think about these things before beginning section 2!
