Near Omarana is the Clay Cliffs, a sandy dusty environment with unusual towering, stark formations. Though harsh, this location is strangely evocative.
I used a circular polarizer to saturate color and accentuate the features of the lone cloud, and a neutral density graduate to hold back the exposure in the sky.
