| Jazz Pulse |
| Jazz Pulse officially began a few weeks before August 17, 2001, their first gig at hometown North Brunswick's local bookstore. Traces of it, however, date back to 2000, when talented flautist Soo Lee and pianist Pulsar Li began toying with the jazz flute suites by Claude Bolling. As the need for a drummer and a bassist surfaced, so too did the band's inception. James Egan and Anthony Santoro bolstered the duo as the respective bassist and drummer. Greg Hirrschoff later took the role of bassist when Egan switched to trumpet since Jazz Pulse had adapted standard improvisational jazz into their repertoire. Guitarist James Hsu, the latest addition, provided the band with a broad blend of music, increasing versatility to Jazz Pulse. These six talented musicians bring a powerful blend of jazz and blues reaching from classical, standard, modern, and Latin jazz to any venue that puts a roof over their head. |
