Lipstikk N Leather: What has been the greatest gig for Black Hill? and what had made it so great?
Phil: Oh man i tell ya we do fuckin' love to play live,it's just so great !Every gig is a huge party with glitters, loud music, screamin chicks and energy. Btw i think that the best gig ever for us was the Glam Attakk 2003 in Turin. So amazin' nite, lotsa people there askin for more melodic and kick ass tunes, all dressed up girls and boys, booze in evreywhere totally ' 80s nite...we wants more too of it !!..That nite we met also Steve Summers that has been playn with his Shameless , totally rockin shit !
Lipstikk N Leather: What was the Worst ?
Phil: One time we been playn in a club (was the beginning) where our genre was not so welcomed so some dumbass makes fun of our clothes and make up during the live.. (so sad) so we didn' t play well cause we got mad and you know, we ended up with a fight....oohhho geez maybe it was the best !!! ;- )
Lipstikk N Leather: What are some of your other favorite bands, old or new, that Black Hill has shared the stage with?
Phil: As i just said we did love playn' with Steve (such a big glamster) plus we shared the stage with some really cool Italian bands that got a name right now in the music biz someone of them had split up and this i very sad.....
Lipstikk N Leather: Though being in a successful band would be a dream come true for most people, it's not always a pleasant road to travel... From your experiences, what is the most difficult/worse part of being in a band? What has been the biggest obstacle you have encountered on your way to the top?
Phil :MMM... we got tons of pain in the ass the biggest ones comes from for example when you change the line up...
Lipstikk N Leather: How and when did you realize that you wanted to be a musican?
Phil: Listening and watchin Guns n' Roses stuff......
I saw this guys totally rockin the world, don' t give a shit of anything and havin tons of fun, music, sex, booze and fame playn' rock n' roll !!..What's better than that ??
Lipstikk N Leather: What was the first song that You Had Learnt To Play on the drums?
Phil: Paradise city man.... bass drum and snare, bass drum and snare, bass drum and snare, bass drum and snare, ..so cool !I starts playn drums with my fav band..That's a sign....Hell yeah !!!
Lipstikk N Leather: What inspires you, Phil? Where does your talent come from? How about The Rest Of The Guys?
Phil: We got no talent we got passion and we know how to rock the shit !
Lipstikk N Leather: What were you like on your first night playing out?
Phil: Scary, half naked and very young. It was a gig in the School backyard and the funny thing is that it ended up with a rumble too...Maybe that's a sign too.....btw cool show even if it was very short...Our career starts in that way. So after that mess we goes, dude it's our first fuckin concert and after 15 minutes of playn it' s a mess already..Nice we all said !!..The principal want us and all the guys off the stage on Jail !..WHAT A START !!
Lipstikk N Leather: What is your favorite song on "Nasty Nights" and Why?
Phil: Hard to tell, maybe Traffic light...we do love this song cuz it' s fun for us to play and for the people to dance, just love to see girls goin crazy during the chorus.... Lots people in the biz think it too...
Lipstikk N Leather: My Fiance, Michael Lynx a Fantasic vocalist toured with alot of well known bands back in the 90's when Music was "fun party music " and yet serious, and Pretty Often we have discussions about how the music scene has changed here in the USA and how now it seems to be so angry and aggressive (disturbed, slipnot, Type O Negetive) and how sad it's changed so much because there is no creativity or structure to the music anymore as there used to be. What do you think about The Music here Over Sea's and How does it compare to the music there in Italy?
Phil:I think US created the best and at the same time the worst music ever..
80's L.A., NY scene was just awesome, now it's a shit....all the same bands no attitude, no party just angry guys that wants to make money and fill up the fuckin music biz man pockets....no ideas, no good at all...
I bet my balls on fire if one of the bands that you mentioned could record 5 or 6 albums as Ratt or Gunners or Motley did ..
Lipstikk N Leather: Is There Any Certain Band or Bands That "Black Hill" Would to Jam or Tour With?
Phil: I could kill for the chance to share the stage with Fuckin Motley Crue..Tommy Lee is my Mentor !!..If their 2005 tour will ever take place i' ll do my best to make this dream happen...
Lipstikk N Leather: Do you have any last words or comments that you would like to send out to the fans?
Phil: Hey guys thanx for the interview it's been a pleasure you guys totally rock !
Black Hill loves people like ya !!!
We are tryin to set up a Tour in the U.S next year but that's not shure, we hope to do it so bad !!!
Keep the rock n' roll flag flyn for eva !!
www.black-hill.it
We changed 3 bass player, and a couple of singers plus we had problems to deal with a lot of different people on and behind the stage plus truobles between us tryin to put the songs and the shows as best...weed and gin abuse didn' t help us either
WHERE'S THE PARTY !!
Even the Grunge, the Pop, The AOR was better at that time...
In Italy rock n 'roll is growin up veeery well, now the passion for the epic/ power metal seems to fade away just a little bit so many rock n' roll bands like us got more space to show how to rock...Rock n' roll will never die that's the point, people may don' t think like that but it's like that !!
I'm very proud of our rock n 'roll scene and i tell you i never been like this before....
