WHY THUS ENGAGED?
The stories of times past narrated by my dear seniors were always
fascinating to hear, and, like so many, at an early age it seemed
right to dedicate myself to the pursuit of genealogical research.
And, thankfully, the notes and files maintained by others provided much inspiration and that essential early documentation for the work herein engaged upon. Twenty-years of ardent investigation, correspondence, travel, and telephone conversations have yielded only so much. Now, through the wonders of the internet and related on-line communication, it is hoped that new friends and kinsmen will here be discovered. And, by our combined efforts and experiences, (that) historical data, transcriptions of primary sources, and new (complete?) tables of descent will result in greater scholarship. This, then, for the benefit of not only ourselves and our extended familiy groups, but the larger genealogical community at-large.
Accordingly, my very best wishes are extended for success in
