On Devarim 14:6-7

And every animal that has a split hoof, which is completely separated in two hooves
that brings up its cud among animals - it you may eat (for they are fit).  -  verse 6

But this shall you not eat from among those that bring up their cud or have a completely separated split hoof;
the camel, the hare, and the hyrax, for they bring up their cud, but their hoof is not split.  -  verse 7

Regarding Devarim 14:6, there are 3 words in it (tohu in bohu) derived from the 3-letter root   pey reish samekh, a root which means to break apart and scatter (Yirmeyahu 23:29), and are referring in some way to the removal (circumcision) of the "covering of the hoof" (representing the comprehensive orlah of malchut, and its removal representing completion of the tikkun of nukvah) within the world of tohu.  Consequently, verse 6 identifies the tikkun and sanctification of tohu and its subsequent unification with bohu;  i.e., the unification of segolta with segol and the re-unification of the divine with all levels of apparently separated existence (of which there are 3) - the spiritual, the emotional and the physical.  This re-unification signals the fulfilling of the mitzvah to be holy - for they (the words of Torah, and the animals from whom they come) are fit.

Verse 6 also speaks to the level of
echad, representing the unification of the light which shines for the sake of oneself and the light which shines for the sake of the other.  Consequently, verse 6 is identifying as fit "animals" (i.e., of the level of the human soul corresponding to the nefesh ha-behamit and the nefesh ha-elohit) of echad, while verse 7 is identifying "animals" of the shesuah, where the shesuah is a category of animal, that even though it brings up its cud (ruminates on words of Torah), it is without a circumcised hoof (and is still at the level of sha'ashuim atzmi'im).  The 4 words in verse 7 prefixed with "et, et, va'et, va'et" suggest that et is in the process of "adding" Torah to the levels of yetzirah and assiyah - consequently confirming the idea of a process still in progress.  Importantly, these two verses distinguish how to recognize completed tikkun of the yetzer hara (expressed through the nefesh ha-elohit) and complete sanctification of physicality and action (expressed through the nefesh ha-behamit), which marks the end of the internal soul wars of gog ma'gog.  The buck stops at echad.

In summary, the two verses are identifying how to identify the completion of the process of achieving holiness - in other words, distinguishing those souls who have reached the level of echad as opposed to those who are not quite there yet and are still at the level of sha'ashium atzmi'im.
