| rectification & reunification the lights of moshiach & the light of peace tohu va-bohu ve-choshech Bereshit 1:2 Darkness (choshech, the dark light of peace) was born from the separation of some original unified light (veha-aretz hay'tah) into the lights of tohu and bohu (chaos and uncertainty). Reunification of rectified choshech, tohu and bohu brings into existence the lights of moshiach known as the brightness (reunified tohu va-bohu) and the brilliance (reunified brightness ve-choshech). Tohu, from the root tav hey hey is a reaction to uncertainty (bohu, where bohu is from the root beit hey hey) creating darkness in awareness. The original unified light (veha-aretz hay'tah) is a forward projection (hay'tah from the root yod tav aleph) of one inmost essential (yesod, tet) element of ha-aretz (from the root aleph reish tzadi) focusing the blessings of life & peace reunified into certain existence, malchut. |
| Let there be light. And there was light. This light is the light of moshiach and peace, forth-spoken into existence by G-d. It is the rectified and reunified lights of tohu and bohu and of darkness. Immediately following the creation of darkness, the spirit of moshiach hovered over the face of the deep, from which G-d brought forth the light of redemption, and sent it forth into being. And G-d saw that the light was good. On the very first day, even before the fall of Adam and Chavah, the light of redemption was sent forth. On the fourth day, the two great luminaries were made for signs, l'otot. In hebrew, the word l'otot is spelled without the letter vav, as the word is normally spelled. This is the vav of completion, redemption and transformation. This vav is the herald of redemption, the vav found in the name of Eliyahu HaNavi. Thus, on the fourth day, the guarantor of redemption was sent forth by G-d into existence, also prior to the fall of Adam and Chavah. So, we can see, that Adam and Chavah, represented by the sun and the moon, had to fall - and the moon had to diminsh herself - she had a vav to catch for her husband. (Midrash Chaseiros) And G-d set them to give light ... and forth-saw that it was good... |
