Xaranzana Sabina y Armar, Contessa de la Barbola

This lovely, kind, smoldering, fierce woman is the champion of oppressed people in Iberus, and a force for change in this debilitated nation.   A noblewoman in her own right, and cousin to King Fanfaron of Iberus, she travels the land fearlessly defending those who cannot defend themselves, exposing corrupt and cruel nobles to the King, and enjoying their ensuing long, hard fall to disgrace, prison, and sometimes execution.  Her life is in constant danger from the scheming, angered nobles.

Queen Catalana is rumored to be behind the recent purges of Iberusian nobility, scraping away the mold so the cream can once again rise to the top.   Naturally, civil war is only a step away in this unsettled land. as the threatened nobles band together in opposition to the purges.  Fortunately for the future of Iberus, the King and Queen find strong support in their innumerable noble relatives.
