What's in a name
Many TLK names have meanings behind their names, so here are the meanings of my characters:
LARANI:   La--means 'eat; no; never'  I couldn't find a meaning for 'ra' but 'ni' means 'a form of "to be" '
  Other swahili names sounding like Larani are:
"Hadharani", meaning 'brown' and "Karani", meaning 'secretary'!  (Larani is a made-up name.)
SAVANNA: grassland
KAMILA: 'Ka' means 'and then' and 'Mila' means 'culture'.
LAMAKI: no stoutness
MTWALI: 'Wali' means 'rice'.
