The RAM works one degree, that of Ark Mariner. In Victoria, a prerequisite for the the RAM is membership in a Mark Lodge and the Order is administered by the United Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Victoria. Furthermore, the constitution generally requires each RAM Lodge to be attached to a Mark Lodge. Kew was originally attached to Richmond Mark, and named such. Then it attached with Kew. When Kew closed, it was granted dispensation to remain independent and retain the name and number of the former Kew Mark Lodge. A brother's rank is that of his Mark degree.
