Its has been 5 years since I was in the Jalan Besar Community Club Dragon And Lion Dance Troupe.

Its has been formed for 14 years and in the past 14 years, we had taken part in countless of competition, regardless of Traditional Drum Beating, Traditional And Freestyle Lion dance and Traditional and China Dragon Dance.

I would not mention the honours we have painstakingly gained thru sweat, blood and tears but I would like to thanks the troupe for giving me sweet and happy memories of all being together and to guide and show me the correct way in life.

After all, discipline was strict and no nonsense was tolerated by Johnny Tan, chairman and headcoach of the troupe. Latecomers were punished and mistakes that were made thru carelessness would often yield in the staring and shouting from the headcoach himself.

The younger juniors had seniors to teach them the correct ropes and often remind us not to misbehaved and to learn in a serious attitude.

Times has passed in a twinkle of an eye and initially from being Pei Dao Sec Sch's St John Lion and Dragon dance club, we have overcome obstacles, financially , physically and mentally to form into today's Jalan Besar Community Club Dragon And Lion dance troupe!
