Our 20th Anniversary

In 1998, The Lion Rampant Accordion Band celebrated its 20th Anniversary. A Reunion Committee was formed, and a big party was planned. Many attempts were made to find as many past members as possible. We were able to reunite with our guests: past & present members and their families totaled around 150 people in attendance.

In preparation of the event display posters were made, trophies and awards were brought in, streamers were hung, and a couple hundred red yellow and black balloons were blown up...with good old fashioned hot air!!

A secret was kept from the Band Director, Harold Cromwell during all the planning of this event. He was surprised that evening when a band member, Dione, took control of the microphone. She spoke for the band in thanking Harold for all his time and efforts regarding the band. The music then cued up and she sang Mariah Carey's song "HERO". At the end of the dedication, a video camera was presented to him in appreciation for 20 years of work.

The whole reunion party went very well, and a great time was had by all!!

Our Anniversary cake served and enjoyed by everyone who was able to attend the reunion party.

We set up a display to show off some of the trophies and awards the Band had won over the first 20 years. On the wall space behind the table, posters were made to remember past events and members.

During the Reunion Party, current members
of that time were awarded appreciation certificates stating their name, and number of years they had been members.

The current band members played a few of the newer tunes for the audience.
We were then joined by past members to play a few classic tunes. Many who played with us hadn't picked up an instrument in years, but quickly found out that it was like riding a bike!
