Longing For You

I remember that night not long ago
When I held you tight to my chest and whispered in your ear
Those words I may regret

Just three words that I spoke from the heart
Now I sit torn apart in my tomb of wandering prayers...

You replied with that sweet voice
Warming my heart like a cool midsummer's breeze
Those three words that now lie dead within me

So you tell me, am I longing for you or pondering the moments...
We shared so many...for nothing I think.
What was it all for?
Maybe you're right, I can't understand the way you feel about me!

I don't know how I feel or what to think
You really would not understand anyway!
My unreturned love will find it's place
I know that for sure...
It is the fate I am longing for....
