KILLER DOLLS

Corría el año ‘96 en la aburrida ciudad de Buenos Aires, cuando cuatro cuatro almas en pena juntaron fuerzas para formar esta banda, tratando de emular a sus heroes, como Johnny Thunders, Stooges, Hanoi Rocks o Real Kids. Desde ahí hasta la actualidad cuentan con gran cantidad de shows en su haber. Tienen editado dos vinilos 7”, y un Cd debut grabado en los Devil Tree Studios, Arizona, y producido por la leyenda-punk local Jeff Dahl titulado “Devilsounds A-go-go”. Tambien tienen temas metidos en diferentes compilados tanto de Argentina como del exterior. En noviembre del ’99 realizan un pequeño tour por la costa oeste de USA, en donde tocaron con bandas como  The Real Kids, The Bell Rays, The Candy Snatchers, Loose Lips, 440 Six Packs and Bobby Teens.

En 2000 realizan varios shows en Bs As y Uruguay presentando el LP.

En Noviembre parten nuevamente hacia la costa oeste de USA. Allí abren el 4^th Annual Desert Trash Blast en Arizona (este un festival anual con las bandas mas potentes de USA), y tocan además por la Costa Oeste de California con bandas como Trash Brats, The Catheters, The Excessories, Texas Terri, Super Bees y Malakas, entre otras.

En Marzo de 2001 realizan un tour por Brazil con un total de 7 presentaciones.

En la actualidad se encuentran ensayando nuevo material para volver a tocar en vivo en Bs As, Montevideo y en el interior de Argentina en breve.

Two of the four cuts on this seven incher, “Friday” and “Sunny Girl” call to mind the fast-paced, upbeat rush of the Ramones’ energy from thir early days while on the flip, I especially like the late 50’s/early 60’s-feeling “Wedding Day” as well as the throttling the Killer Dolls gave on their version of the Stones’ “Connection”. Viva Argentina!

  Straight outta Buenos Airies and driving a stake through the heart of the current wave of plastic punk pretenders getting’ all the hype. Well let me hip you to the Killer Dolls, who have finally delivered their long awaited debut long player ‘Devil Sounds A Go Go’. The sound is tough ‘n’ dirty,nothin’ clean about it. It’s a white-knuckle ride on Highway ’77, threechords, lotsa melody and fast up-beat action. Influenced by the good stuff Dolls, Stooges, MC5, Jeff Dahl), there’s plenty of cool action to appeaseeven the most discerning listener. ‘The frantic ‘Runaway’ is a good ‘un, asis the Samoans-like ‘Poision Legs’. ‘Heartbreak Town’ is sheer bliss, catchyas fuck. Slashing guitar and cool vox by main man Charlie Lorenzi. ‘More’(with it’s preface of a newsflash about Jayne Mansfield’s death), indeed had me movin. Fast ‘n’ pacy damage. ‘Friday’ again had the groove and thats lashin’ guitar we luv. Lots of killer tunes here people.
