On the color cover, Miyu narrates: I�m Miyu Kouzuki, thirteen years old and in the eighth grade. No matter how you look, I�m just a normal teenager. But ever since I moved to Saionji�s temple, my life isn�t normal anymore. Everyday is a blast�
Miyu: Hey! R�u kun! Wait up!
Ru: Ah? Ah?
He is holding a toy
Narration: Ru-kun, an alien that knows how to fly
Miyu: Give it back! It�s my important toy!
(She runs by Kanata, who got hit by her)
Narration: Kanata Saionji, only son of Saionji
Kanata: What�s wrong?
(Outside, Wannya is doing laundry)
Wannya: Ah, a beautiful morning!
Miyu: Ru, I finally got you!
Ru: Ah! Da!
(He accidentally let the toy fly through the air. It flies toward Wannya
and
makes him drop the clothes line, or should I say sticks them on himself)
Miyu: Huh?
Narration: Wannya, babysitter of Ru
Later, breakfast table
Kanata: Oh great, a fight in the beginning of the day. It�s only a toy�
Miyu: What �only a toy�? It�s the admission to the amusement park!
Wannya: Is it Future World, Miyu?
Kanata: Future World?
Miyu: I won it! It also gives you a night at the hotel.
(Wannya holds up book with info on it, the TV happen to be advertising
for it)
Kanata: Is that it?
Wannya: Yep!
Miyu sees Ru really likes the place and says: So Ru-kun likes it too.
Why
don�t we go together?
Wannya: Yeah� And I�m stuck watching the house again right? (He has
this sad
face on) I�m like a house keeper, make lunch for Miyu, do the laundry
for
Miyu, and make dinner for Miyu�
Miyu: Then� why don�t you go?
(Wannya smiles happily instead of that sad look)
August 28th
Wannya: Bye-bye!
(He changed into a fully-grown man)
Miyu: Wannya! You have to take real good care of Ru-kun!
Kanata: Also, don�t let anyone find out about you two
Wannya: Don�t worry, we�ll be back tomorrow evening!
Miyu: WA! I�m the one who won the tickets!
Kanata: All right then, today I can finally relax!
(From then to until 12:25, Kanata reads a book and Miyu eats a Popsicle.)
Narration: Why is it so quiet? Just because Wannya and Ru isn�t here,
this
place is so quiet� I should say something�
Miyu: Hey Kanata!
Kanata: Huh?
Miyu: Um, um�
Narration: Ah! I don�t know what to talk about!
(She just smile cutely at him)
Narration: Come to think of it, the only day Kanata and I were alone
was the
day I came here�
Miyu: Ah� Oh yeah, can I watch TV?
Kanata: Uh-huh.
Miyu: I wonder what�s on right now�
TV: We are finally alone!
(The two kiss, Miyu look shocked)
She changes the channel
Miyu: Let me see if there are some others�
(Everything on TV has something to do with a boy and girl liking each
other.)
(Miyu isn�t taking this too well, she closes the TV)
Narration: What� What should I say? I can�t think of anything
(Then Kanata gets up)
Kanata: I�m hungry, let�s go buy something.
Miyu: Sure!
At the supermarket
Narration: Did he tell me to come here because realized what I felt? It
couldn�t be�
Miyu: Kanata? What do you want to eat?
Kanata: Anything is fine with me.
Narration: That�s the most annoying answer, you don�t know what they
want�
Miyu: How about curry?
Kanata: Fine.
Miyu: What about rice with fried shrimp?
Kanata: That�s fine too.
(Miyu hits Kanata)
Kanata: That hurt! What do you want?
Miyu: Never mind! I�ll decide by myself.
(She realizes something)
Narration: Kanata� He never talks about himself� I don�t even know he
likes�
Even when he�s with a girl, he never worries� I should know more about
him
since we live together�
Miyu: What do you like to eat?
Kanata: Nothing
Miyu: Come on!
Kanata: No thank you!
Miyu (mad): You listen and you listen good! If you don�t tell me
anything,
I�ll never know what you want!
Kanata: Pumpkin.
Miyu: Huh?
Kanata: I� I love pumpkins!
Narration: Kanata + Pumpkin
Miyu: Ha! They don�t mix!
Kanata: That�s why I don�t want to tell you!
Miyu: Wait! Wannya�s not here today, so I�ll make a pumpkin dinner for
you!
At the house
Narration: Even though I said that, I never made something out of
pumpkin�
(She cuts the pumpkin, then comments if to hard to cut. After a long
cooking,
she doesn�t look very happy)
Narration: Why am I so bad? Even though I tried so hard, still�
Kanata: You are so slow!
Miyu: AHHHH!
Kanata: It�s been two hours!
Narration: Oh no!
Kanata: What�s wrong?
(Miyu tries her hardest to prevent Kanata from seeing the pumpkin �cause
it�s
not a pretty sight.)
Miyu: Just wait for another while! It�ll be better then�
(Kanata pushes her out of the way, he sees the pot that contains the
pumpkin)
Miyu: No! That�s because� It�s because I never cooked pumpkins before.
I
thought if I make it, it�ll come out fine� Don�t worry, I�ll do another
one,
there�s one left!
(Kanata tastes the soup)
Miyu: NOOO!
Kanata: Even though it looks awful, it tastes good. Since there�s
another
pumpkin, let�s make it together!
Miyu: All right!
(They made a nice dinner together)
Narration: Today� I saw the other side of Kanata
Kanata: I�m full!
TV: The next news is� The astronaut Ms. Kouzuki is doing fine in NASA.
The
rumor says she might come back to Japan for a while�
Kanata: Oh yeah, does your mom know about my dad not here?
Miyu: Uh-huh. Your uncle told her I think. But mom never worries about
anything, so she wouldn�t think anything is wrong. If mom will come to
visit, we have to think something to hide Ru from her.
Miyu: I�m so tired�
Narration: Ru and Wannya are probably having a blast�
(She hears something and walks outside to check it out. A person in
strange
costume walks to her)
Miyu: AHHHHHHHHH!
Kanata: What�s wrong?
Miyu grabs her shirt
Miyu: There� Someone�s out there!
Kanata: What do you want?
(The person walks right by them and sits down in the kitchen)
Kanata: Wait!
The stranger walks over, puts her hand on Miyu and asks: Are you two going out?
Miyu and Kanata: Huh?
Person: You still don�t know? I even wore NASA�s clothes
Miyu: MOM?!
Mom: How are you Miyu?
