| Michael�s POV After Maria�s little outburst we all just sit there and stare at her like she has grown two heads. Did she just say what I think she said? I can vaguely hear Liz ask what bet Maria is talking about but the only thing that keeps running through my head is how in the world could she possibly know. Maria starts to explain the bet to Liz right down to the finest detail, how does she know all of this? Beyond that what is she still doing with me if she knows about the bet? Why is she smiling at me like that? The way she is looking at me it is almost as if she has a plan, an evil plan. �Would you stop smiling at me like that! Yell hat me, hit me, call me names, but don�t sit there smiling at me like an evil scientist with a master plan.� She looks around the table at all of our friends and I swear that when she looked at me her smile got bigger. �Look here buddy, you made a joke out of me. You made me the girl that is so far gone the only person that could help her is you, and even that is stretching it. You are one of the biggest a.ssholes I know second only to my father.� Ouch that one really hurt. �The only reason why you still have all of your appendages attached to your body is because I am a kind person. If you can turn me into the butt of your sick bet than you owe me something.� She looks at me with pure rage in her eyes and for a minute I am really scared, then she smiled again and that only heightened the fear. �I will help you win this bet. I will even go shopping for chick clothes with Izzy and Tess, the only catch is that you have to make the man I love, love me back by the time of the dance.� �You want me to make Brian love you?� �I want the man I love to love me back its as simple as that.� All I have to do is get her and that freak together? That is what I have been trying to do all along. It isn�t my fault that the guy is a complete idiot that can�t put two and two together. I think that I really should try as hard as I can with this situation and with Brian; something tells me that my manhood depends on it. �Fine I�ll do it, but you have to follow through and go with me to the winter formal.� �Believe me if you do your job right that wont be a problem.� With that said she winks at me and stands to leave the both. �Come on ladies, pappy said that you could stay over and he will give us the credit card to go shopping tomorrow.� Tess, Izzy, and Liz all get up and follow her out of the restaurant. After they leave Kyle lets out a low whistle and looks at me with an expression that says �I know something you don�t know.� �What?� He smirks a little more and he looks so cocky I just want to punch the look off his face. �It isn�t Brian that she wants to fall in love with her dude.� �What are you talking about? Of course she wants Brian to fall in love with her who else would she want?� Kyle looks at me like I am the most moronic person in the world, I don�t know why though. �YOU!!!!! If she was in love with Brian why would she agree to go to the formal with you? Why would she say that if you did your job right that that wouldn�t be a problem?� �Because Brian is a loser and probably wouldn�t go to the formal with her anyway, besides a deal is a deal.� �Whatever you say man but sooner or later you are going to have to face the truth.� Both Alex and Max nod their heads at that. Shows what they know, I know Maria and she�s in love with Brian. Not me. **The Next Day** When I woke up this morning I had the plan of all plans to get Brian to ask Maria out. This plan is fool proof even if he doesn�t know who Maria is right now guaranteed he will by the time I�m done with him. I choose the perfect outfit to make me come across as threatening for when I confront him at Future Shop. I go downstairs for breakfast to find that both my mother and my father have already gone to work. Well there goes mom cooking for me. Why are they at work on a Saturday? You would think that with all that has been going on with Tess they would want to spend more time with the kids but lately it seems just the opposite. During the walk to see the loser I find myself thinking about what Kyle was saying last night. Is it possible that Maria is over her feelings for Brian and does want me? I wish that were true but it cant be, I see the way that she looks at him. She wants him and only him. When I walk into the store I spot him immediately, he is standing by the DVD players staring into space. This could not get anymore perfect, he is out in the open and this will be public to the whole store. I storm up to him and try to put on my best pissed off face as I start to yell at him. �You f.ucking a.sshole, what right do you have to f.uck up my life?� �I don�t know what you�re talking about, I haven�t done anything.� When I says this I walk closer to him to appear threatening, its working too if you can count the amount of sweat the just broke out on his brow. �You haven�t done anything? Well then how do you explain my girlfriend breaking up with me so she can be with you.� �I don�t even know who your girlfriend is.� I step closer to him still if that is possible. I can�t believe that he still doesn�t know who Maria is. �Her name is Maria DeLuca and all she said to me was that you could give her more than I could so I want you to explain yourself before I pound you into next year!!� �I�m telling you the truth dude, I�ve never touched her.� He is stuttering now. He�s scared. �Wait did you say that Maria was your girlfriend?� I nod slowly. �I can�t believe that she broke up with you for me. She is so hot.� �I thought that you didn�t know who she was.� He looks so scared that I swear if I didn�t have to be mad here I would laugh my a.ss off. �Uh� yeah� I don�t know who she is. I�ve just heard that she was hot.� �Yeah well, leave her the f.uck alone.� Before I turn to walk away I make sure to do the right thing and I smile at him for two seconds before I punch him hard in the jaw. So hard I hear it crack. If that doesn�t get his attention I don�t know what will. What I do know is that when you tell someone that they can�t have something it only makes them want it more. He is putty in Maria�s hands now. TBC |
