| I am awaking by the door of the motel opening. I roll over and off the bed and land on the floor. Suddenly the floor starts to move. I open my eyes and see Michael looking up at me. �Aah!� I cry before I roll of him and look up towards the door and see four people. I look at their faces. Isabel is trying not to laugh, Liz looks shocked, Alex is grinning and Max looks mad no wait make that really mad. When I see Max�s expression I turn and run into the bath locking the door. �Maria Faith Evans get out here right this second� I hear Max shout and I know better then not to do as he says I slowly walk out of the room staring at the floor. �So I guess you�re here to be supportive, as usual?� Michael says. �No. I'm here to clean up your mess as usual. Michael, what were you thinking?� Max says and I am sure I saw hurt pass across Michael face but it happened so fast I could have been wrong. �I was thinking I can't wait around for the 2 of you anymore�� Michael starts but before he can finish Max cuts him off �Do you know how much danger you could have put yourself in? Not just you but Maria? What if something had happened?� Max asks him. �Nothing did happen Maxwell� Michael states. �But it could of� Max says. �Look Maxwell you like Roswell, and you like your family, and you like your make-believe life. That's great, Maxwell. Keep pretending. But don't think it's gonna last. Because one of these days, they're gonna find out about us, and when they do, everybody in this room...� Michael doesn�t finish. �Kyle!� Liz says in shock �Everyone in this room is what?� Kyle asks as he walks into the room. �Get out.� Michael orders. �Why don't you go ahead and finish what you were saying? Or are you afraid that I'll find out what your little secret is? Are you afraid that I might find out what the hell you guys are doing out here? In the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night?� Kyle pushes more he looks around the room and his eyes rest on me for a second and I feel a shiver run down my spine. That guy is really creepy. I have no idea what Liz ever saw in him. � I said...get out!� Michael shouts and I feel him start to build up power. � Michael, don't.� Max warns but Michael takes no notice of him and I watch Michael throws Kyle across the room. � Who the hell are you guys?� Kyle asks and looks really scared before getting up and walking towards Liz and asking, � What's going on here? And what are you doing here? I'm gonna get you out of here. Come on.� �Leave her alone.� Max tells him placing his self between Liz and Kyle. �Just...� Liz starts to say. Kyle tries to get pass Max but this time Max tackles him to the ground. �Get off of me!� Kyle shouts. �Just stop it, both of you, ok? This has gone so out of control! I am not your girlfriend anymore, Kyle.� Liz shouts trying to get in between the two. � Liz, I don't know what's going on here, and I don't care. I just want you to come back with me.� Kyle pleads. �You don't belong here, Kyle. This is none of your business.� Liz says turning her back on him. � I don't know...I don't know what I ever saw in you� Kyle says his words laced with hurt before he races out of the room. �I'll take you guys home.� Max says quietly. � No! No more secrets from us! Alex and I, we are a part of this now. If we don't know everything, how are we supposed to protect ourselves? And how are we supposed to help you?� Liz says backing away from the door. � We don't need any help!� Michael informs them. �What do you want to know?� Isabel asks disregarding what Michael had said. �Everything� Alex speaks for the first time. �That'll make you accomplices.� I warn them. �Go a head� Alex tells us. �A few weeks ago, Michael and I broke into Sheriff Valenti's office trying to find that picture you saw from 1959...the dead body with the handprint.� Max starts. �It's the only proof we've ever had that there are other aliens besides us.� Michael adds and Max nods before continuing. �We found a key. When Michael touched it, he had a vision.� �Of this dome� Michael cuts in. �The one in marathon.� I finish. �So you guys think that this key is gonna unlock the dome and then...and then you guys are gonna find something there...something that's gonna help you guys figure out where you actually come from?� Liz questions. �Yes� Max answers simply. �Then what are we waiting for?� Liz voices what I had been thinking. The six of us all walk out of the room and I breath a sign of relief that Max hadn�t said anything about the kiss. �Oh yeah Maria and Michael, the three of us will be a having a little chat when we get home� Max warns us. �Damn it� Michael and me both say at the same time. �So who going in which car?� Isabel asks �Michael blew up the battery in mom�s car so�� I start to tell him. �Max fixed it already� Isabel tells me. �Michael coming in the jeep with me� Max says. �I go with Max and Michael� Liz says and I give her a knowing look making her blush. Isabel starts to walk off toward the car and Alex chucked his arm across my shoulder. �So you and Michael?� He ask with a laugh. �Shut up before I do you some damage,� I tell him. �Oh I am really scared Evans� �You better be Whitman� �Race you to the car� �Ok ready�go� �No fair you didn�t say set� I wasn�t set� �Your just a bad loser� I tell him and stick my tongue out at him �Could you be any less mature?� Isabel mutters and rolls her eyes �I don�t know Isabel why don�t we talk about Mr Fluffy� I ask and watch the ice princess cheeks turn red as I refer to her childhood teddy that lived under her pillows still Alex nearly chokes on his laughter but soon stops when Isabel glares at him. We all get in and are soon following the jeep to Texas. TBC |
