| How do I look?� I ask Isabel when I am finally ready doing a twirl so that she could get the full effect of my outfit �Nice� Isabel simply says �Nice? That it? I look�nice?� I turn back round to face her �What do you want me to say?� Isabel asks �How about �Maria you look drop dead gorgeous and I wish that I looked more like you then I do Max�� �Fine Maria you look gorgeous and if you ever say that I look like Max again I will kill you� �Truth hurts that�s your problem Isabel� �No my problem is that I end up with Max �I am obsessed with Liz Parker� Evans as a brother and Maria �I love Michael so I am going to go out with Stalker boy to make him jealous� Evans as a sister.� Before I can say anything back to my sister the doorbell goes �Oh my God Kyle is here already� I start to panic �How do you know its Kyle?� Isabel asks as she follows me down the stairs to answer the door �Michael has a thing about entering through windows� I tell her giving myself one last look in the mirror before flinging opening the door �Michael?� I blurt out �What were you saying about windows?� Isabel whispers behind me. I ignore what Isabel says because something has got my attention and that something is now walking up the pathway. Michael turns to see what I am looking at �Valenti what are you doing here?� Michael asks coldly �Not that it�s any of your business Guerin but I am here to pick up my date.� Kyle replies just as coldly �Isabel please tell me you are not going out with this loser� �Loser? You�re one to talk and you got the wrong sister� �Maria? This is some sort of joke right?� Michael asks in disbelief �Maria we really should be going� Kyle tells me and just then Max decides to make an appearance �Valenti� Max says in the same tone as Michael had used �Oh my god do you guys have a problem using first names?� I ask rolling my eyes before pointing to each of them in turn in a sort of introduction �Max, Michael and Kyle. See it�s easy� I crack a smile hoping to the tension. Well a girl can dream can�t see? �Just remember what I said Maria home by ten. Come on Michael I think there is a hockey match starting in a few� Max gives Kyle a warning glance before going back in to the house. I look at Michael trying to work out his reaction but he won�t even look at me. Maybe this wasn�t the best idea I have ever had. Michael pushes past me and stalks Max into the house. I feel hurt descend on to me in waves. Isabel was right all I have done is push Michael away and now I don�t think I even have his friendship. �Have a nice time,� Isabel says giving me a sympathise look before closing the door �You ready?� Kyle asks me looking directly into my eyes. I nod trying to ignore the feelings running through my heart and head before following Kyle to the car. TBC |
