| "Isabel why are you always so mean?" Liz asked after she saw Maria walk out of the door. "Because I can." Isabel grinned and blew a bubble in her bubblegum. She began to file her nails again when a car full of loud boys pulled up outside Tess' bedroom window. All three girls ran to the window and looked out. Suddenly Isabel grabbed a pair of jeans and pulled them on. "What are you doing?" Tess looked over at her. "I'm getting changed what does it look like I'm doing?" Isabel rolled her eyes at Tess' confused expression. "I'm going out to meet the guys, well more specifically Michael. Him and me have some unfinished business. You comin?" Isabel said half a leg out of Tess' bedroom window. "I can't my parents are in the next room. If they find out they'll kill me." "Liz you coming? Max is out there." Isabel grinned when Liz blushed. "I should stay here with Tess." Isabel nodded and shimmied down the side of Tess' house. "Hey guys." Isabel smiled at all of them. Alex and Max sat up on the back seat of the convertible they drove with Kyle in the drivers seat and Michael in the passenger side. Max simply waved at his sister and Alex just gave her a goofy grin showing off his teeth. Isabel smiled at Michael and made her way to stand next to him, outside of the car. "Hey Michael." "Isabel." Michael said. "So..." Isabel said awkwardly. Normally Michael would have been all over her right now. "Yeah." Michael replied. "Seems we have some unfinished business." Isabel bent over showing off her cleavage. "No I think we finished it." Michael looked away from Isabel and stared straight ahead of him. He suddenly noticed something and got out of the car, leaving the four people he left behind puzzled. "What's up with him?" Isabel asked Kyle, anger clearly evident in her tone of voice. "I don't know he's been funny since the club." Kyle said trying to look to where Michael had run off to. He didn't know why but he felt he should have followed. "Oh like you haven't." Max chimed in from the back. "Ever since we bumped into his hot little chick he met on vacation he's been even more grumpier than usual." Kyle turned around to give Max a death glare. Isabel smiled at Kyle. "So Kyle want to go somewhere?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Hey!" Michael called to the figure ahead of him. He had to stop for breath. Suddenly the figure stopped and turned. "What?" Maria turned around tears streaming down her face. Seeing who it was she turned around again and continued her fast paced walk. "Wait." Michael called again trying to catch up to her. "Go away." Michael heard from the girl. He ran up to her and pulled her back. "What the hell are you doing?" Maria grabbed her hand back and wiped at her eyes willing the tears to stop. "You shouldn't be walking home alone in the dark. There are some weirdo's around." Michael looked down at her. "Don't need to tell me." Maria began to walk away again but Michael followed. "Are you ok?" Michael asked. "What are you doing?" Maria turned to face him. "Your one of Kyle's buddies right?" Michael nodded. "Michael?" Michael nodded again, surprised she knew his name. "Yeah I heard about you." Michael winced at her tone of voice. Obviously what she had heard about him was not good. She pulled out her cellphone. "Look if you don't leave me alone I'm calling the cops." "Woah hold on. I was just seeing if you wanted to be walked home, you know it's dark and all." Maria stopped dialing and looked up at him. He seemed genuine but she had heard the rumors. "Thank you." Maria made up her mind. She could always use her cellphone if need be. They began to walk each in their own thoughts when Michael broke the silence. "Are you hungry?" Maria looked up at Michael, confused. "I was just thinking your new so you probably haven't seen all of Roswell and there's this hangout where everyone goes called the Crashdown and..." "Yeah I'm hungry." Maria cut off Michael's ramblings. Michael grinned. "Hey Mickey wait up!" They both turned around to see Max and Alex walking up to them. "What are you two doing here?" Michael asked with annoyance. "Kyle kicked us out of the car, him and Isabel have gone to the drive-thru." Max whined. "I mean he dropped us for a girl man." Alex shook his head. "That's just wrong!" While Alex and Max continued to whine Michael stared down at Maria. He noticed the pained expression crossing her features when the insensitive jerks had joined them "You ok?" Michael asked her quietly. Maria nodded and raised a grin. "Yeah I'm good. So what were you saying about a crashdown?" TBC |
