| A week after Liz and Shawn had their "date"- Set in Liz's living room, her and Shawn are watching a movie.Shawn's POV- "This is really boring you know", I said to Liz. "Never been kissed or whatever the hell it is is for girls who can't get a date, or a kiss. Have you ever kissed someone Liz?", he said, smiling, knowing what her reaction would be. Liz rolled her eyes and then threw a pillow at him. He then scooted closer to her and started tickling her.'This should be funny', he thought. Liz was laughing hysterically. "Stop...stop..oh Shawn stop...", she said giggling. He then decided to stop. He was on top of her now. He leaned in for the long-awaited kiss. They shared a long sweet kiss. It was soft, nice, the most exciting kiss he ever had.'God, she is wonderfull', Shawn thought, ending the kiss. Liz looked up at him, biting her lip and twirling her hair with her finger. Shawn laughed, She looks so cute doing that', he thought. "Are you always this shy with guys?", Shawn says, laughing at the way Liz looked. "What?", she asked. "Nothing, you just look so beautiful, doing that thing, you know, with your hair", Shawn said, and then started laughing. "So I deserved to be laughed at?", Liz says smiling at the thought of Shawn calling her beautiful and then she hits him with a pillow............ The Evan's house- "Max, what are you doing?", Isabel asked as she walked into her brother's room, confused as to why he was pacing. "I can't stand it. Can you believe this? Have you seen her? With him? I know, we're supposed to be friends, but I can't stop loving her. I mean, what should I do? I could"--Isabel cut him off. "Stop it Max, you're babbling", Isabel said. "Calm down. What do you mean? Liz?", Isabel asked, already knowing the answer. "Who else? She's been hanging with that Shawn guy, Maria's cousin. I can't stand it. I love her. I can't stand to see her with someone else", Max said, helpless with the situation he was in. "Well then I guess you know what you have to do", Isabel said matter-of-factly. "And what is that?", he asked. "You have to win her back, Max. You have to forget about what happened with Kyle and you have to ask for forgiveness. And most of all, her love", Isabel said. Max standed there, nodding, pondering on what Isabel said. "Well go Max, go win her back, I'll be mad at you if you just keep standing there, you know what I do when I get mad, I'll kick your ass", Isabel said, only half-joking. Max then got his jacket and keys. "I wouldn't want that to happen", he said, smiling. "Thanks, Is", Max said and then left to go to Liz. "Shut up Max you already knew what you were going to do", Isabel yelled before he went out the front door. "Good Luck", she said, whispering to the air. "I am colorblind Coffee black and egg white Pull me out from inside I am ready I am taffy stuck and tongue tied Stutter shook and uptight Pull me out from inside I am ready, I am fine" -Counting Crows, Colorblind It was almost 10:00 and Shawn had already left, leaving Liz to write in her diary outside in her balcony. "Liz", she heard someone whisper. Liz went up to the edge of the balcony and looked below. It was Max. "Hey Max, what do you need?", Liz said. "Can I come up?", Max asked. "Of course", Liz said. Max climbed up and then standed there for a second. 'Okay you got to do this. Just tell her you love her, everything will be fine', he thought to himself. "Hi", Max said. "Hi", Liz said, nervously. Okay, here it goes, he thought."I love you Liz, I don't care about the mistakes we've made, those are all in the past. I know I agreed to be friends, but it's unbearable to see you with this guy. This Shawn guy. You belong with me.....only me", Max says, and then pulls Liz in for a kiss............. ** MAX HAS A FLASH WHEN KISSING LIZ** *"I've never seen the cards fall like this before. The boy, he's diffrent", the lady said. "Yeah", Liz said. "He's very important, this boy. A leader", the woman continues. "Yeah, he has this whole other destiny...one that doesn't include me", Liz responds reassuringly. "No. He chooses love", the woman states. "What?", Liz says, suprised. "He chooses you", the woman tells her.* **Max recieves more flashes** *Liz is in her room, pretending she's wearing a wedding dress. "I , Liz Parker, take Max Evans to be...", Liz is cut off by thunder, and someone that looks a lot like Max crouching at the window."Liz.", the older Max says. "Max?", Liz says, stunned.*END OF FLASH* Max pulls away. "Liz, what was that?", Max asks to a crying Liz. "Max, please go, please", she said crying. Max grabbed ahold of her hand, needing to see more. *FLASH* *"Liz, what's about to happen over the next few days is critical to the history of this planet.Things between us are about to change...grow deeper. We become inseperable, and nothing comes between us ever again, until...",Liz cuts him off and says,"The...the end of the world?". "That's right", the future Max said. "What happened?", Liz asked. "The closer that you and I grew, the worser it got with Tess, and eventually she left Roswell".* *"We eloped. We were 19", future Max told Liz as they watched Tess and Max talk. "We were 19? Wow, that is so young. That is too young", Liz said, turning to him. "That's what I said, but you said that Romeo and Juliet were even younger than us, so we drove to Vegas. Got married at the Elvis chapel", future Max told her. "So we didn't have a real wedding", Liz said. "Oh, we had a great wedding", future Max said,"You called Maria, Michael, Isabel, and Alex, and had them meet us halfway. We spent the whole night singing and dancing in some dive outside Phoenix, and at the end of the night, 'I Shall Believe' came on the radio". "I love that song", Liz said. "I know. Everyone else was exhausted, but not us. Oh, we danced...just the two of us. And ever since then, it's been our song", future Max told her.*END OF FLASHES* Max releases Liz and just lookes at her, tears forming in his eyes. Liz is crying less, knowing that there is nothing she can do. She tells Max to touch her again, to see the rest. *Liz is sobbing and sitting next to future Max. Future Max reaches his hand for a tissue and his hand goes through the box."What...what's happening?", she asks. "This must be it. What you did must have worked. I'm leaving", future Max said, looking sad. "What so you're going back where you came from?", Liz asked. "No. There's nowhere to go back to", future Max says. Future Max is silent for a moment, then attempts to grab the box. This time, his hand doesn't go through it. "It didn't work. We have to do something else", future Max told her. "No, I...I can't", Liz said, scared. "You have to", he said. "Do you know how hard it was to tell him that I didn't want to die for him? He's the only reason that I'm alive right now. You... you've...you gotta come up with another plan. Please go to someone else. I...I just...I can't do this anymore".* *"I don't think this is a good plan", future Max says. "What are you talking about?", Liz asks. "You really think this is going to work? I would never be jealous of Kyle", future Max said.* *"Could you dance with me?", Liz asks. "What?", future Max asks. "I wanna have my wedding dance", Liz says. I Shall Believe starts playing and Liz dances with Future Max. Future Max twirls Liz and she spins around by herself. When she stops spinning, she realizes that Future Max has disappeared. Liz looks upward at the sky and sees a shooting star. She then falls to the ground, crying.* *END OF FLASHES* Max openes his eyes, crying openly. Liz looks at Max, just standing there, waiting for him to say something. "Max....",Liz says. "Liz, why didn't you tell me?", was all Max could say. Liz looked at him in disbelief. "You of all people should understand why I didn't, I love you, and we don't belong together. I can't be with you Max. I can't do that to my friends. My family. My decision to do that was a decision I was making for the world. Don't you understand how important it is to follow your destiny? Don't you understand that without Tess you won't be able accomplish anything? You need her. And I can't be in the way of that", Liz said, tears forming once again. Max was not crying any longer. He understood now. But it hurt more than ever. He then went up to Liz and kissed her for what he thought would be there last kiss for a long time and then whispered,"Goodbye Liz Parker, I will always love you". He then went down the ladder. "Goodbye Max", Liz whispered as she cried quietly. 'I will love you for eternity', she thought. "I am covered in skin No one gets to come in Pull me out from inside I am folded and unfolded and unfolding I am colorblind Coffee black and egg white Pull me out from inside I am ready, I am fine" -Counting Crows, Color Blind Max just sat in the car, crying. What was he going to do now? He would never be able to hold his love again, never kiss her, never touch her. How could he live? He couldn't believe what he had just seen. What Liz had to go through. Even though they couldn't be together, he knew that they had changed the future outcome for the world so much, and that one day, they would be back together. And with that, he started the Jeep, wiped away his tears, and drove home. TBC |
