Bee's in the Flower Garden
This project was fun, I created little 'bee' shapes out of a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut the shapes out of fun foam. I used dimensionl paint to write the mens names, and pipecleaners to embelish.  I did the same thing for the women's  names, only using a 'flower' shape, they were all hooked onto pipe cleaners and the pipecleaners inserted into a styrofoam base down in the basket.  I painted the strofoam green and covered with moss or easter grass. I finished off the outside of the basket by using up the scraps of funfoam and making butterflies, working dots squiggles, and details with dimensional paint.
However there is also a secondary surprise to this project............ Not only did it serve
as a wonderfully colourful centerpiece
for the family reunion barbeque......
Each family member was allowed to take their 'bee' or 'flower' from the garden home, as I also put magnets on the backs, as well as the date the reunion was held.  So they had a nice take home keepsake from the event.   There were also some children present, and to make their 'bee's' or 'flowers' more fun, I attached Jewellery finding pins, so that the kids were able to wear their names right away :)

I first saw this idea originally on Aleene's Creative Living.  It was made with watermelon shapes.  But as you can see, the idea is totally adaptable to any theme you wish !  Use your imagination and 'bee' creative :)
