Chris, Kate and Geoff just arrived at Base in RFDS car, Geoff and Kate having friendly argument as they get out of the car. DJ: Hey Doc. Your friend Marcia called in from Broken Hill. Now she was stuck for a ride, so I got her a lift on the Mail plane. Geoff: What today? DJ: (shaking his hair like a movie star) Yeah, She could�nt hold back any longer, she�s absolutely dying to seeee you! (DJ. Chris, and Kate laugh) Chris: Who�s that? Geoff: Well you know�.(glances at Kate)�This is that old friend of mine from student days. Geoff: She�s just gone through a very traumatic divorce, so, well I suggested this place was as good as any other, somewhere to unwind. Kate: How thoughtful of you. ****************************************** Outside Base, Sam just arrived by car with Marcia, Geoff�s friend. Chris and Jack unloading boxes from Chris�s car. Sam: Hey listen, is the Doc. around? Chris: Geoff? I don�t know if he�s back yet. (Marcia steps out of car, looks like glamour model) Marcia: Well don�t tell me we�ve missed him? Sam: Miss Marcia Dean, umm�(gives thumbs up sign to Chris and Jack behind Marcia�s back)�Old friend of the Docs. Chris: Hi. (shakes her hand, Jack can�t shake hands he is holding a box, justs mumbles Hello) Sam: (coming out of Base with Marcia) Hey Sarge, Do ya reckon you can run Marcia down to the Hospital? ***************************************** Marcia �sweeps� into the Hospital. Marcia: GG Darling! GG Darling! (Kate turns round to see Geoff hugging Marcia, Jack stands next to Kate) Geoff: (hugs Marcia, watched by Kate and Jack) Ha, Ha, Marcia. Oh it�s wonderful..(turns to Kate)..Oh Kate, erh, this is that old friend I was telling you about. (Kate and Jack look at the �glamorous� Marcia before them) Marcia: (kissing Geoff) Oh GG I�ve missed you so much. Geoff: (hugs Marcia) Oh it�s good to see you. Chris: I suppose Geoff will be squiring our illustrious visitor from Sydney? Kate: You mean Darling GG? Chris: Darling Who? Kate: Oh that�s right you missed the big reunion?�(Kate mimics Marcia�s walk and speech, leaves her desk, walks towards Chris, holds her shoulders)�GG Darling, I�ve missed you so much, it�s been so long. Chris: (laughing) Oh you�re kidding. Kate: (laughing) No. Chris: Come to think of it, Geoff does sign his reports, Geoffrey G. Standish. Kate: Geoffrey George? Chris: Geoffrey Gullible! Kate: Grizzle Guts! (they both laugh) ****************************************** Painting Competition, and Wine & Cheese Party at the Pub. Everyone walking around looking at the paintings. Kate stood seductively, in middle of room, glass in hand, looking at the pictures. Geoff approaches Kate, she turns around hearing someone behind. Geoff looking at Kate with an admiring smile. Geoff: You look great, very becoming. Kate: Humm, This old thing? (broad smile at Geoff) Geoff: You should bring your old things out more often. (long, deep loving look between them, interrupted by Marcia) ****************************************** Next morning, at the Airport, in the doorway of the Nomad, Kate loading equipment. Geoff slips his Drs. bag in the doorway alongside Kate�s boxes. Seeing Drs. bag come in, Kate turns, looks up, Geoff standing very close. A deep serious look between them. Geoff: (still standing very close to Kate) You left rather early last night? Kate: Did I miss anything? Geoff: No, not really. (still gazing at Kate) Kate: (turning round) Was it erh�..late night? (deep serious loving look between them) Geoff: No, not particularly. (still standing very close, gazing at each other. Car approaches, Kate turns her head to look at the car, Geoff continues to gaze at Kate. Marcia gets out, walks towards them, Kate looks back at Geoff, not pleased to see her) ****************************************** Marcia about to leave Coopers Crossing, Jack and Geoff talking together by Jack�s Police Vehicle, Chris, Kate and Marcia walk outside from the Base, stand on the pavement, near Jack and Geoff. Marcia: Well if you�re ever in Sydney, look me up, GG has all the relevant details�(serious look at Kate)�.It�d be nice to have home advantage for a change. (Kate just smiles, look on her face says he�s still mine) Geoff: Keep in touch. (Marcia hugs and kisses Geoff, holds on to him) Marcia: That�s what friends are for. (Marcia reluctant to leave, Geoff walks off to open the passenger door of Jack�s vehicle, beckons Marcia to get in, she and Jack drive off. ****************************************** Chris: Now it�s alright, GG, We will cease and desist if you tell us what your middle initial stands for. (Kate still laughing) Geoff: I�ll tell you one thing. You will not even get the time of day from me if you ever call me GG again. Now I have an aversion for nicknames and that tops the list. Kate and Chris teasing and laughing at Geoff. Chris: Umm, I wonder what it could be, Grumpy, or Giddy? Kate: How about Gabby or Greasy? Chris: Or Grizzle Guts, or Gloomy? Kate: Gooie? Chris: Gawky?
