| My grandfather was Ray Hangley, he was born at Huntington County, Indiana in 1889/1892. He was the son of Lydia Ginder and Thomas Hangley. Lydia�s mother Catherine Hartlerode is my connection to the Hartlerode�s . |

| My branch of the Hartlerode�s started out as Herchelroth�s. Somewhere along the line as time progressed the name took on various different spellings and sounds. Mine ended up Hartlerode by the time Catherine was born abt 1825 at Rootstown, Portage County, at Ohio. Her parents Lawrence and Susanna Maude Schauer were mentioned as Herchelroth�s when they were married January 29, 1822 at Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. |
