Arthur Ray Hangley (Ray), was born at Huntington,Indiana to Thomas Hangley and Lydia Ginder February 22, 1892. His Parent's moved to Winimac,Indiana when he was a child in the County of Pulaski. They later moved to Hammond, Indiana where Ray's mother died when he was about 10 years old. Ray's father remarried and Ray did not take to kindly to his stepmother so he went to live with his cousins by Camoran, Missouri. You see his Uncle Peter was his father Tom's brother. Peter's wife Susan was his mother Lydia's sister, making him and his cousins double cousins. He even had a cousin Jay, that was a spittin image of him. Ray, somehow ended up in Omaha, where he met Anna Canarsky and then they were married. |

Thomas Hangley was born about 1860 to Peter Hangley and Bridget unknown at Cambridge City, Indiana. Peter, was the son of Peter Hangley and Bridget Leonard and was born at Ireland. He came over to America with his siblings Thomas, Patrick and Ellen, after his parents died and settled at Ohio around Butler and Hamilton Counties. Thomas married Lydia Ginder November 18,1885 at Pulaski County, Indiana. Lydia was born abt 1860 at Winamac, Indiana., to Jacob Ginder and Catherine Hartlerode. |
