Lovebirds/Conures
I can say one thing about both of these types of birds....LOUD!!!! They are both squawkers.
Love birds DO NOT need to be in pairs.  Like most birds, if you have more time to be with them, you are better off with one.

If you have more then one type of bird in the house, LOVEBIRDS ARE THE GREAT HOUDINI'S OF THE BIRD WORLD.  They WILL figure out how to get out of their cage and get into another without you even knowing, and WILL kill another bird within a second because they are playing and are strong little birds.  I have heard horror stories of lovebirds getting out of their cage and into another cage and killed them while the owner was at work.  Mine got into my parakeet cage in a matter of seconds.  I looked up he was on the cage I looked away for a second and I looked back and he was IN the cage.

Lovebirds are a bundle of energy packed into a little bird.

They bite if you are trying to get them to do something they don't want them to do.  Like eat something, or come out of their cage.

Even though Lovebirds and conures are small(ish) in size they still need a bigger cage then most small birds.  They are chewers and need toys to chew.

Like most birds they need time and patience to train.
Conures LOVE to take a bath, so make sure there is clean water in a seperate bowl in the cage.
The picture below is of "Baby" my newly aquired lovebird.  He is a bird that was rescued from an owner that knew nothing about what baby needed, so baby pulled out his neck, back and tail feathers. (not something normal for lovebirds).  His previous owner was feeding him a poor diet, cage was small and she claimed that if someone didn't come get him, she would throw him in the trash because he bites.  Baby doesn't bite unless he wants to sleep late, or doesn't want to taste people food.  Otherwise he is a loving bird that is willing to sit on anyone's shoulder.  He lays in bed and cuddles...He is 2 years old and I am sure someone had to work with him to be so nice, but he is loved at my house and growing feathers....
