" In your letter last issue you shared with us some tips on how to "survive community life.  There is in all that you said.  However, I felt uncomfortable with Tip #2 . . . It seems to emphasize that our own effort at letting others be.  Tip #2 seems to imply "patibayan ng loob."  Para bang sinasabi na "Titiisin kita at titiisin mo ako."

This approach may work for a short period of time.  But if this become the attitude, then "surviving" Community life may not be joyful anymore.  I'm afraid my ability to "endure" another will be short-lived. And community life is life long!"   In the Healing Christ,

    Bro. Madz, CFA

NB. Bro Madz added this from Peter van Bremen, SJ: "Once I am sure of God's acceptance, I can afford to be gentle because when God himself considers me worthwhile, there is no further need to assert myself.  Since the certainty of God's infinite concern for me frees me from all self-concern, I can relate with people and accomplish my allotted tasks without needing to vaunt myself in them."
