How to make an awesome paper throwing star
1. Take a normal piece of computer paper, or just regular sized paper.
2. Cut the paper in half the short way (hamburger way, if you like). Put one of the halves away.
3. Take the other half and cut that in half long way
4. Take one of the two and fold it in half lengthwise (or hotdog way, for you weiners =)
5. Fold that in half across the short way and crease it, then unfold it.
6. Take the RIGHT half of the paper and fold it UP, against the crease mark you just made.
7. Take the LEFT half of the paper, and fold it DOWN, again against the crease mark.
8. Flip it upside down.
9. There should be two rectangles sticking out of opposite ends of some weird shape. Fold both of those rectangles in half.
10*. Take your newly formed square and fold it into a triangle. This is kinda confusing, but make it so that the triange tip points in the direction of the weird shape. If you're confused, lemme know. Do it for both of the squares.
11. If you did step 10 right, if you fold both triangles onto the weird shape, they should fit perfectly and make a parralelegram. Remember that parralelogram shape, then unfold it back to the way it was after step 10.
12. Do the exact same thing for your other half of paper, only this time, after you've made the crease, take the RIGHT half of paper, and fold it DOWN, and the LEFT side of the paper UP. This is really important. When you're making the triangles, remember that the tip points in the direction of the weird shape. Also, make a parralelogram with this one also, and remember the shape.
13*. Now, take the top of one piece of paper and put it on top of the other piece of paper. I don't know if this makes sense or not, but the piece of paper on the bottom should have the edges pointing up, and the piece of paper on the top should have to edges pointing down. Again, lemme know if this is confusing.
14. Make that parralelogram with both pieces of paper while they're stacked together. This should make the shape of your throwing star.
15. However, the edges aren't tucked in. Underneath each edge, there should be a small pocket. Slip all four edges into their corresponding pockets neatly.
16. You're done! Now go throw it at someone.
Note: this makes a thin throwing star. If you want, you can double the amounts of paper to make a thicker one. Also, you only used one half of the original piece of paper; you can use the other half to make another throwing star.
How to do the Kai Dance (also known as how to get Silas on the floor laughing his head off)
1. Stick your arms out to your sides, horizontal with your shoulders, and make a fist with both...fists
2. Put on a funny face
3. Bend our right knee, like you're squatting with your right knee, and kick your left leg out
4. Walk this way, switching legs while saying "WOOOOOOT!!!! WOOOOOT!!!" Don't forget your funny face
5. You are now doing the Kai Dance and looking like an idiot. Congragulations.
How to Make a Paper Balloon
1. Start with a normal piece of computer paper placed vertically
2. Take the upper right corner and align it with the left side of the paper. Crease it, then unfold it.
3. Do the same with the upper left corner, aligning it with the right side of the paper. Cut off the flap on the bottom so you're left with a perfect square. Don't unfold the triangle
4*. Take the lower right corner of paper that's on top, and fold it over to the left corner. Crease the line that goes from the cross of your two lines to the bottom.
5*. Take what was originally the upper right corner of your paper and fold it down to the lower right corner. The extra paper should be tucked inward. Crease that paper like you did in step 4. If you did it correctly, you should have a triangle.
6. Take the lower left corner and fold it up to the top of your triangle. Do this for the lower right corner, and for the reverse side. If done correctly, you should have a diamond.
7. Take the left corner of the diamond and fold it to the center of the diamond. Do this for the right corner, and the reverse side. If done correctly, you should have a six sided figure.
8*. If you didn't flip it over or anything, there should be two loose triangles at the top. Fold this over the edge of the flap you made in step 7. Do both of the loose triangles, and on the reverse side. This should put the triangles right side up and sticking out of the main shape
9. Take the right side up triangles and fold them in half. Do this for the two on one side, then the two on the other side. If you did it right, they shouldn't stick out of the main shape anymore.
10. If you look under your triangle that you just folded in half, you'll see a triangle that really is a pouch. Stick your half-triangle into the pouches. Do all four.
11. At the bottom of your balloon, you have a small hole. Cut a few millimeters off the bottom of your balloon to increase the size of the hole.
12. Blow into the hole, and your balloon inflates! You're done!
Note: This can also be filled with water for a water balloon. Now go throw it at someone along with your throwing star =P
How to make a paper airplane that works really well
1. Take a normal piece of computer paper, or whatever normal sized paper you want.
2. Fold it in half the long way.
3. Crease the fold, then unfold it.
4. Fold down the two upper corners of your paper, and line it up with that crease you made, just like a regular paper airplane.
5. Fold your newly-formed triangle all the way down. If done correctly, you should have a rectangle.
6*. Take the right corner of your rectangle, which is also the corner of your triangle, and fold it so it touches the vertical crease you made earlier. Leave about an inch of space between that corner and the bottom of the triangle.
7*. Do the same for the left corner, and make it so it touches the corner from step 5, leaving an inch from the bottom of the triangle.
8. If you did those steps correctly, you should have a sort of triangle-shaped thingamabob at the bottom of what used to be the triangle. Fold that up, so it covers the two points.
9. Fold your entire plane in half, along the vertical line you creased. The triangle you folded from step 8 should automatically make some pocket-like things to hold the corners from steps 6-7.
10. If all is done correctly, you should two diagonal lines coming from the nose of the plane to that triangle, one on each side. Fold the wings down along that diagonal line on both sides of the plane.
11. You're done! To throw, put your fingers on the triangle and toss. Hehe, arial bomb your target with a water balloon, and distract them from the attack with a throwing star =).
