When Largo Winch walks into the Group W boardroom the suits give him the third-degree. Largo has never set foot in a boardroom before (and he liked it that way). But now that his adopted father, Nerio Winch, has died a mysterious death, everything is different.

Suddenly, Largo is heir to an empire. And as he discovers, running the gigantic corporate entity of Group W is a risky business. In the jet-setting world of high finance, the competition is vicious and the stakes are lethally high. For Largo Winch, brand-new CEO, adventure is about to become a way of life.

Inspired by Jean Van Hamme and Philippe Francq's best-selling European comic book, the globe-trotting action-adventure series is co-produced by TVA INTERNATIONAL and DUPUIS FILMS in partnership with broadcasters M6 (France), AT Production for RTL-Tvi (Belgium), Beta Film/Tandem Communications (Germany), and Paramount International Television. Largo Winch stars Paolo Seganti, Diego Wallraff, Sydney Penny, Geordie Johnson and Serge Houde.

Largo's first mission is to uncover the truth behind his father's death. Having inherited his father's controlling interest in Group W, his worldwide conglomerate, Largo finds himself facing the power of a sinister secret society intent on controlling his every move. Largo enlists the help of a few loyal colleagues, forming his own unconventional intelligence unit that includes his wise-cracking best friend Simon Ovronnaz (Wallraff); his razor-sharp security advisor Joy Arden (Penny); hi-tech hacker Kerensky (Johnson) (formerly of the KGB); and his father's former right-hand man, the discerning John Sullivan (Houde).

Largo has a highly unorthodox approach to running a multi-billion dollar corporation. He wants to put people before profits and change the world. But being head of Group W makes life complicated. Wherever his job takes him, enemies emerge and adventure ensues. Group W's take-over of a Russian auto plant brings Largo and Simon to a Moscow night-club where they become pawns in an icon-smuggling ring. Company holdings in arctic research for a petroleum alternative prompt Largo to head north to a remote polar research station where he discovers that someone is killing to keep secrets. A wild-goose chase through the French countryside and the back alleys of Paris turns out to have been engineered by an assassin hired to destabilize Group W.

As Largo's close-knit intelligence unit works together under acute pressure, its members get to know (and start to trust) each other. Tensions rise and sparks fly (especially between Largo and Joy, who are drawn to one another, despite the professional distance they try to maintain. Gradually, the team members reveal the secrets that have lead them to risk their lives in this dangerous fusion of business intrigue and international espionage.

David Patterson and Phil Bedard are the series executive producers. Jacques Mth and Lon Perahia are co-producers.
