Currently studying a B.Teach(Primary education) at the University of Sydney.

 

Sept 05 – Present         Worked on a casual basis with Allseasons Casuals, where I did

function setup, food and drink service and bar work at venues such as

Pymble Golf Club, Harold park paceway, Wentworth Park, RSL’s,

and other private functions.

 

Oct.05 – Mar.06          Speciality Language Center

Working as an ESL teacher at near Sydney’s central station.

 

Mar. 05 – Sept. 05       Various tutoring jobs in Japan

Job Title:                      Promoter of International Education, Gojo city, Nara.

Job Duties:                   Teaching about Australia and English to 8 Primary schools and

                                    10 nursery schools around Gojo city, Nara.

                                    Often teaching the classes using the Japanese language.

Job Duties:                   Included credit checking, confirming new installations for

clients, selling extra items to customers including telephones

and voice mail.

                                    Ltd. in North Sydney.

                                    During high school I worked mainly at Woolworths in

positions such as checkout operator and general hand.

HOSPITALITY SKILLS

 

l        Completed an 18 week course in Hospitality Operations II from Lismore TAFE.

l        Ability to speak to Japanese guests in their native language, and can understand some of the Chinese and Thai language.

TESOL SKILLS

 

As can be seen from my recent work experience I have approx. 3 years experience of teaching English

in Australia and overseas to children and adults.

I have had training at Nova, Japan on how to teach a travel course and English to children.

I did 2 weeks training at ECC in Bangkok and 1 weeks training at AUA, Bangkok mainly learning

the communicative approach to teaching English.
