Winds
Back to poems
The winds have shifted
Plotting a different course through the sky
Free to explore the world
Free to experience the clouds
Pristine
Beautiful
Serene
Clouds
The ones that never seem close enough
The ones that hold the terrible rain
The ones that blanket the earth
The clouds I wish to reach
Wish to lie upon
Wish to breathe in
Wish to understand
The winds carry my song
My essence
My begining and my end
They bestow my spirit upon the lands
Weave my threads into the blanket of time
Yet I always feel
That whichever direction they choose
The wrong thread will ware away
And the blanket of time
Will crumble into a thousand pieces
Into a thousand souls
To become
Once again
A heap of forgotten dreams
Upon the unpredictible ground
Melting back to their tired core
For someone else to find
