| The Mystic fire | ||||||
| I started to wonder what we've become A mystic fire burning through the rain. I feel that I'm forgetting you, So I wore your perfume, For that familier smell of home. Now the air catches me, I breathe in And remember you a little easier. But we're so far apart in this Castle in the sky, Neurotic moments of everyday detachment. Drunk on wine and sailing towards the east I'll follow you home on the sea. Smoke signals float on the waves. I'm lost in a cloudy space, Trying to find what you used to be... ...to me. But I've grown weary of everyday reality. Crashing after decades of misery. Everyday the mystic fire burns, But dimmer the embers have become. I'm worried that one day we won't survive the rain. And the clouds will fall onto my bed Where I'll sleep until the end of tomorrow. |
