The Ember
Back to poems
An ember hopelessly fights for her life
Beneath the charred and blroke wood
As the desired flame of love slowly melts away
All that is left is the remaining ashes
Ashes and memories
All entwined together like soil
Feeding to a new life
But there is no love for the life to feed off of
Which, despite the need
Can't be rejuvinated
Because the water of death
Has flooded the pit
And now the ember dies
