| The Dreamer's Pool | ||||||
| Back to poems | ||||||
| The shallow pool of disillusionment Blended with the desire for a greater reality Is evaporating ever so quickly Have you felt it's cold burn? How it calms the flesh Into a sudden realization That you know nothing Do you even feel the pain? Or have you developed The callous The apathy Only to faint slowly into a deeper sadness That tear The one that falls quietly down your burning cheek Creates a puddle of unrequitted desires And unrelenting deception Where you jump in Carelessly drowning in your forgotten dreams |
