| The earth holds me here Nestled in its layers of memory I feel its heat Emenating from below The temperate air ebbs and flows Dancing along the flatness of the valley Flying through the canyons Cooling my skin I feel free Beneath the pine boughs The giant oak, reaching for the stars The same ones you look at The ones I wish to reach I breathe in the moon Radiating its beams of light I smile, I feel home This is where I belong Nestled in the earth ...My earth The only place I will ever call home |
