| Silhouettes of Love | ||||||
| One clear night in December I drove into the hills Hoping to find inspiration As I sat in the back of my truck and took in the view I experienced a beautiful thing I saw a couple holding each other Their silhouettes painted a picture of love Upon the canvas of city lights And when she put her head on his shoulder I could hear him smile We forget about these moments As we go about our lives Traveling between street light and intersection Shopping mall and subway station And we forget to stop and find the beauty Maybe you have to be above the city To appreciate its splendor On a quiet hill away from it all To admire from afar But as I sat there in quiet solitude I knew that something perfect transpired tonight Two people found love In the company of stars And I got to paint that picture in my memory |
