Memories of Love Back to poems
Oh how I desired the night
When I looked into your eyes
So blue and mysterious
They could penetrate my soul so deep
One glance into them and I was yours forever
And in the summer when we danced in the rain
And the droplets clung to the curls in your hair
Ever so delicately
I don't think I ever loved you more than in that moment
Our fingers entwined as we walked
Along the forest floor
Pine needles crunching underfoot
There you chased me along the path
The trail of our lives
Quickly gaining on me and catching me
Remember how we both fell to the ground
With only the pile of leaves
Seperating us from the dirt?
It was here that you first kissed me
And I daresay I heard the heavens sing
The Angels harp echoing through the woods
To the melody of the birds song
I will never forget this place, my forest

...Many years after you have died, my beloved
I come back to my forest
I take in everything around me
The crisp air
The running brook
The beautiful trees
I even walk along the same path
My once blonde hair, now gray with age
Blowing in the wind across my back
It is here that I have Memories of Love
