| I Used to See the Moonlight | ||||||
| I used to see the moonlight And taste the thunder on my lips It spoke to me, like perfect ecstasy And I was whole again But then man came along the path With violent tendencies He stole the moonlight from my sky And made it dark, again No longer did I taste the sky Or feel the celestial breeze For I'd been broken too many times To bring me back to life again Thunder roared vociferously in the sky But I did not hear it Lightning struck the ocean floor But I did not see it Rain poured down upon the land But I did not feel it The moonlight would not rise up again ...I could not rise up again... I had been defeated |
