| If You Would Let Me | ||||||
| You greet me with long-distance eyes Smiling a calico smile. I do not understand your intentions But you touch me just once And I become soft and formable A mound of clay for your hands To discover and create. I can't remember the last time anything Hurt so good, But then I can't really remember the last time I felt anything at all Because you don't call And I am left here frozen And waiting for a ship That too long ago capsized And never made it to port. I could be your harbor If you would let me. I could ment your sails If you would let me. I could be your endless horizon If you would let me. |
